Primate Ayodele Warns Lagos Over Terrorists Attack, Calls For Total Ban On Okada Riders.

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged the Lagos State Government to immediately ban commercial motorcycle operators, popularly known as Okada riders, across the state over security concerns.

Ayodele made the call during a church gathering in a video shared on social media, where he warned that Lagos could face serious security challenges if urgent steps are not taken to restrict the activities of commercial motorcyclists.

The cleric claimed that criminals and terrorists could take advantage of Okada riders to carry out attacks in the state.

He urged the government to strengthen security measures and stop the operation of commercial motorcycles in all parts of Lagos.

Ayodele also called for restrictions on beggars, wheelbarrow pushers, cart pushers and other groups he believes could pose security risks if left unchecked.

He further urged authorities to remove individuals pretending to be mentally unstable from the streets and establish a task force to enforce the proposed ban on Okada operations.

According to him, Lagos remains a major target because of its economic importance to Nigeria, warning that any major security breach in the state could have wider consequences for the country.

The religious leader further alleged that terrorists are already present in Lagos but have not yet launched operations.

He claimed that such activities could first emerge in neighbouring Ogun State before spreading further if preventive actions are not taken.

Ayodele maintained that banning commercial motorcycles would help reduce security threats, arguing that motorcycles are often used by criminals because they can move quickly through traffic and access areas that are difficult for vehicles to reach.
