Tennis Legend Serena Williams To Make Comeback At 44.

Tennis icon Serena Williams is set to return to professional tennis at the age of 44, nearly four years after stepping away from the sport.

The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion has accepted a wildcard entry to compete in doubles at the Queen’s Club grass-court tournament in London, which begins next week.

Williams appeared to confirm the news on social media, sharing a video captioned, “Guess everybody heard the news,” and joking, “I gotta change my number.”

Her comeback has already sparked speculation about a possible appearance at Wimbledon later this month, where she has claimed seven singles titles.

Serena last competed at the 2022 U.S. Open, describing her departure from tennis as an “evolution” rather than an official retirement.
