Actor Hanks Anuku Opens Up About Partner’s Death.

Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has spoken candidly about the heartbreaking loss of his partner, revealing that the tragedy had a profound impact on his life and career.

The actor made the emotional disclosure during what appeared to be a testimony session at Salvation at the Mountain of God International Ministry in Abuja, where he reflected on his personal struggles and spiritual journey.

According to Anuku, the death of the mother of his two children was one of the most difficult experiences he has ever faced. He revealed that the couple had planned to get married before her untimely passing, describing the loss as deeply traumatic.

The actor said the grief left him emotionally devastated, causing him to withdraw from public life and distance himself from others as he struggled to cope with the pain.

Reflecting on that period, Anuku explained that he isolated himself from the outside world, choosing solitude while trying to come to terms with the loss. He said he eventually found healing through his faith after an encounter with God, which he believes transformed his life.

Addressing the congregation, Anuku said many of the stories circulating about him online did not reflect the full picture of his experience. He expressed gratitude for what he described as God's intervention, saying he was led to a place of healing, deliverance and renewed purpose.

He also encouraged others to embrace salvation, adding that no one is beyond redemption.

Speaking further, the actor recalled the close bond he shared with his late partner, describing himself as someone who remains committed in relationships. He admitted that accepting her death was extremely difficult, saying the thought of living without her left him emotionally broken.

Anuku said the experience drove him into isolation before he eventually found comfort through prayer and his renewed faith.

The actor also expressed gratitude that his children are doing well and said he remains hopeful about the future. He noted that he is taking life one step at a time while trusting God to help him overcome his challenges.

He added that following prayers during the church service, he felt a renewed sense of peace and emotional relief.

"Before the deliverance, I felt weighed down. But after the prayers, I felt as light as a feather and as new as a baby. I feel so much joy now. There's laughter and dancing in me again," he said.

In recent years, Anuku's wellbeing has been the subject of public concern after videos showing him in a distressed state circulated online on two separate occasions. However, the actor dismissed the concerns on both occasions, insisting that he was doing well.
