MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 11th season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will begin on Sunday, July 26, with the winner set to receive a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million.
The announcement was made on Wednesday during a press briefing, where the organisers unveiled the details for the new season.
The prize package includes N100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, making it the biggest reward ever offered since the reality show started in 2006.
According to MultiChoice, the new season will continue the show's tradition of bringing together contestants from different backgrounds while introducing new ideas and challenges to keep viewers entertained throughout the competition.
The organisers said audiences should expect fresh housemates, new twists and more exciting moments from the opening night until the grand finale.
The launch programme is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family.
Fans will also be able to follow the 24-hour live broadcast on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49. Viewers who prefer streaming can also watch the show live through the DStv and GOtv Stream platforms.
Preparations for the new season began earlier this year with physical auditions held between May 22 and May 24 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu. Participation was free, and only applicants aged 21 years and above with valid means of identification were allowed to take part in the selection process.
The upcoming edition follows the success of the previous season, which ended on October 5, 2025.
Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, emerged as the winner after defeating 28 other contestants. She went home with a prize worth N150 million, including N80 million in cash and a sport utility vehicle.
With a higher prize and a new set of contestants, the organisers expect the 11th season to attract millions of viewers across Nigeria and other African countries when it premieres later this month.
