A passenger aircraft belonging to Enugu Air has crash-landed while landing at the Benin Airport in the Edo state capital, according to reports.
The incident was said to have occurred this Thursday afternoon, July 23,
2026.
One of the reports said it could not be ascertained if there were any
casualties.
But a video published by the news outlet showed passengers disembarking
from the plane with its tyre severed.
Neither the Nigerian aviation authorities nor the airline had commented
on the incident as at the time of filing this report.
The airline owned by the Enugu State Government and operates several
daily flights across various destinations in the country.
