Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gifted his former signee, Mayorkun, a Tesla Cybertruck reportedly worth millions of naira.
Davido shared the surprise gift on his Instagram story, where he expressed his affection for the “Mayor of Lagos” crooner and revealed that the luxury vehicle was meant for him.
The singer wrote, “My gift to you I love you ❤️❤️❤️ @iammayorkun cc @babzii_chilling pls have it delivered 2moro ❤️.”
The gesture has attracted attention from fans, with many praising the bond between both artistes despite Mayorkun’s exit from Davido’s record label, DMW.
Mayorkun, whose real name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, gained fame after joining DMW in 2016 and released several hit songs before leaving the label to continue his solo career.
The gift comes as another public display of the close relationship between the two singers, who have continued to support each other in the Nigerian music industry.
