Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, has advised popular content creators Peller and Jarvis to safeguard their individual assets by signing a prenuptial agreement following their reported legal marriage on July 29.
In a statement shared on social media, Ossai congratulated the couple on their union but expressed concern over the pace of their relationship, stressing that marriages involving wealth, fame, and a strong online presence require careful planning and legal protection.According to him, public figures are often subjected to intense public scrutiny over their finances, endorsements, properties, and other assets. He argued that a prenuptial agreement would help define ownership of assets and minimise potential disputes should challenges arise in the future.
"When two public figures come together, everyone will have an opinion on their money, gifts, houses, cars, and brand deals. A prenup settles that before outsiders can scatter it," he wrote.
Ossai also noted that both Peller and Jarvis have established personal brands and independent careers, making it important to clearly outline financial responsibilities and asset ownership. He maintained that signing a prenuptial agreement should not be viewed as planning for divorce but as a practical step towards building a stable marriage.
While congratulating the couple, the governor's aide admitted he was "disappointed" by what he described as the speed of the marriage, expressing hope that legal advisers and family elders had guided the couple through important decisions before the wedding.
"I pray their home stands, but I also pray it was built with sense, not just vibes," he concluded.
