Nigerian Entertainment Industry Promotes Ungodly Values - Nollywood Actor, Jim Iyke.

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has stirred discussions after sharing his views on the entertainment industry, claiming that much of the sector does not promote values that glorify God.

Iyke made the comments during an appearance on the Joey Akan Podcast, where he spoke about the influence of entertainment and the messages often associated with the industry.

The actor described entertainment as a powerful platform that can shape people’s beliefs and behaviours, but argued that it is frequently centered around personal fame and self-promotion rather than spiritual values.

“There is no bigger enabler than entertainment. This is where d£mons live,” Iyke said.

He further claimed that the industry’s structure encourages ideals that conflict with his religious beliefs, stating that many aspects of entertainment celebrate things he considers contrary to godly principles.

“Entertainment is totally orchestrated and created to extol the virtues of Satanism. What in entertainment glorifies God, except you intentionally or consciously go for Him, or pursue Him, or find your place with Him?” he added.

Iyke also questioned the kind of values that are commonly celebrated in entertainment, asking what aspects of the industry are truly connected to godly ideals.

However, he noted that individuals working in the creative space can still choose to use their talents in ways that align with their faith and personal beliefs.
