Dutch model Jelicia Westhoff, who shares a son with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, has made allegations against the footballer, accusing him of abuse during their relationship and failing to maintain contact with their child.
Westhoff made the claims in a series of social media posts, alleging that Okoye was physically abusive, repeatedly unfaithful during their relationship and had only seen their son a few times in the past two years.She claimed the goalkeeper had distanced himself from their child because of an ongoing dispute between them.
The model also alleged that their son was hospitalised several times in December and that Okoye did not visit during those periods.
Westhoff said she had remained silent for years in an effort to protect Okoye’s reputation and career but decided to speak out after reaching what she described as her limit.
She added that legal representatives had been involved for several weeks over issues relating to child support and visitation arrangements.
In another post, Westhoff made a personal claim about Okoye’s sexuality, writing that he had not had another girlfriend because, according to her, "you are bi". The allegation has not been independently verified.
Her comments came hours after photos and videos of Okoye and American rapper Cardi B having dinner in Italy circulated online. Westhoff, however, stated that her remarks were not related to another woman.
Okoye has not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of publication.
