"My Only Regret As An Actor In Nigeria" – Nollywood's Deyemi Okonlawon.

Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okonlawon has opined that not acting alongside phenomenal veteran actor, Pa Olu Jacob in his hay days in one of the regrets he has a an actor plying his acting trade in Nigeria today.

Deyemi put his opinion over a post of a rare glimpse of Nigerian talent on British television in the 1970s which featured Olu Jacob.

This footage is from The Crezz, a British television series that aired during the 1970s. In this particular episode, two Nigerian actors made notable guest appearances: Olu Jacobs, who would later become one of Africa's most celebrated actors, and Benita Enwonwu, fondly remembered by many as "Joy Girl."

Long before Nollywood emerged as a global film industry, talented Nigerians were already making their mark on international screens. During the 1960s and 1970s, actors such as Olu Jacobs sought opportunities in the United Kingdom, appearing in British television dramas and stage productions while helping to showcase African talent to international audiences.
