Peller Granted N500,000 Bail After Court Appearance.

TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, and his associate, Bello Oladipo, have been granted N500,000 bail by a Lagos Magistrate Court after they were arraigned over allegations of obstructing police officers during an operation.

The court approved the bail for the duo after they pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against them by the Lagos State Police Command.

They were ordered to provide two sureties, with one of them required to be a blood relative.

The court also directed them to present their tax clearance documents covering a period of two years before the bail conditions could be completed.

The matter was later adjourned until August 11 for further hearing.

The charges against Peller and Oladipo followed an incident on July 2 along Coastal Road, Lekki, Lagos, where police officers reportedly stopped the TikTok star over a vehicle allegedly being driven without number plates.

Peller was said to have informed the officers that the vehicle was newly purchased, but the officers insisted that he should accompany them to the station.

The situation later became tense when the content creator began recording the encounter with his phone.

The TikTok personality later accused the officers of acting aggressively during the incident, while the police command dismissed the claims and filed charges against him and his associate.

The duo are facing allegations of resisting police officers, obstructing officers from carrying out their duties, and engaging in conduct that could lead to a breach of public peace.
