Turkish club Trabzonspor have identified Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare as a transfer target as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season.
Trabzonspor are in the market for a new centre-forward following the departure of Felipe Augusto to Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg, with Arokodare emerging as one of the club's leading options.
According to Turkish outlet TRT Spor, Trabzonspor have submitted a loan offer to Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. for the 25-year-old forward, who is reportedly expected to leave the club this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.
Turkish journalist Zeki Uzundurukan also reported that Trabzonspor view Arokodare as a potential replacement for fellow Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu should he depart the club during the current transfer window.
Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side KRC Genk last year but endured a difficult first season in England. The Nigerian forward scored seven goals and registered two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
Trabzonspor are expected to continue their pursuit of the striker as they seek to bolster their attacking options before the start of the new campaign.
