Governor Ademola Adeleke has won the Osun State governorship election, securing another term in office after defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
The governor had previously won the 2022 Osun governorship election as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). However, amid an internal crisis within the party, he later left the PDP and joined the Accord Party to pursue his re-election bid.
The latest victory extends Adeleke’s tenure as governor of Osun State, although the result remains subject to the official declaration and certification by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
