Sources based in Germany confirmed to "Stella Dimoko Korkus" that what began as a joyful cultural celebration ended in heartbreak on Saturday, August 15, 2026, when a Nigerian man suddenly collapsed and died during the Mbaise New Yam Festival held in Bremen, Germany.
The event,
packed with music, laughter, and proud displays of tradition, turned somber in
seconds.
Mr.
Gabriel, one of the attendees, reportedly engaged in a brief verbal exchange
with another man and while he was talking angrily, he suddenly slumped to the
ground.
Emergency
services arrived swiftly, but despite frantic efforts to revive him, he was
declared dead on the spot.
The
festive atmosphere vanished instantly while plates of food and drinks remained
untouched as stunned guests dispersed in silence.
His wife
who was also at the venue with a two month old baby was driven out of the venue
in shock.....
He is
survived by a young wife and three children, now mourning far from home.

ReplyDeleteGabriel did not die at the event venue. He collapsed during the event, received assistance and was transported to the hospital, where his death was later confirmed. Furthermore, claims concerning the circumstances or cause of his death have not been officially confirmed by the Bremen Police or the family.
Out of respect for Gabriel, his grieving family and everyone affected by this tragedy, we urge News Platform to remove his photograph and correct the inaccurate information immediately. Please refrain from spreading unverified information about such a sensitive and tragic event.

Unfortunately, the report contains significant factual inaccuracies and continues to display a photograph of the deceased which should not have been published in this context.
Most importantly, Gabriel did not die at the event venue. He became critically unwell during the event, received assistance and was taken to the hospital, where he subsequently died. Any headline or statement claiming that he “dropped dead” at the Mbaise New Yam Festival is therefore inaccurate and creates a misleading impression of what actually happened.
The report also states:

This description is also inaccurate. The refreshment and food-serving part of the programme had already concluded before the medical emergency occurred. The suggestion that plates of food and drinks were left untouched while guests suddenly dispersed does not correctly reflect the events of that evening.
