Sowore Alleges Adeleke’s Family Members Are Running Osun Government.

The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is not fully in control of the affairs of the state.

Sowore made the claim during an appearance on News Central TV’s breakfast programme on Thursday, where he criticised the governor’s leadership and administrative performance.

The political activist alleged that members of Adeleke’s immediate family were playing a major role in running the state, rather than the governor exercising sole control over government affairs.

“What I saw in Adeleke’s leadership is that the guy is not even in control of his government,” Sowore said.

He further claimed that Adeleke’s sister was allegedly involved in running the state, while also mentioning the governor’s elder brother, Adedeji Adeleke, the father of Nigerian music star Davido.

“What I know behind the scenes is… I heard that Adeleke’s sister is the one running the state. And his elder brother, who is Davido’s father, also. So it’s a family, pretty much, running the state,” he alleged.

Sowore also expressed dissatisfaction with Adeleke’s administrative abilities, particularly following the governor’s recent appearance at a broadcast town hall programme.

He maintained that the alleged involvement of family members in governance raised concerns about the effectiveness and structure of decision-making within the Osun State Government.

The claims come ahead of the Osun State governorship election, with political parties intensifying campaigns and criticism of the incumbent administration.
