Sowore Fires Back At Davido Over Remarks On Governor Adeleke.

Presidential candidate and activist Omoyele Sowore has hit back at singer Davido after the musician criticised him for speaking against his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Sowore had, during a recent interview with News Central TV, questioned Adeleke’s ability to deliver effective governance in Osun State, saying he did not believe the governor had much to offer the people.

Davido subsequently reacted to a clip from the interview, describing Sowore as “Arindin”, a Yoruba expression used as an insult.

Responding to the singer, Sowore fired back, directing the insult at Davido’s uncle, Governor Adeleke.

In a post on social media, Sowore wrote:

“The real arindin is your uncle, @AAdeleke_01, who had to go back and obtain the equivalent of a GED after he had already served as a Nigerian Senator.”

Sowore also accused Adeleke of political loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, alleging that the governor supported Tinubu in the hope of protecting his family’s political interests.

He further described Davido and his family as part of what he called Nigeria’s “rotten political establishment”, accusing them of being “oppressive, corrupt, incompetent, entitled” and benefiting from the suffering of Nigerians.

Sowore concluded by declaring that Nigerians would eventually challenge the existing political order.

“But the tables will turn. The Nigerian people will not endure this forever.”

The exchange adds another layer to the growing political controversy surrounding the Adeleke administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
