The Governor of Ebonyi State, the David Umahi imposed Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwaifuru has shown his inexperience in governance by doing what he needed to do for those Ebonyi citizens who wish to either get employment into the state civil service and those already employed looking to earn higher pay.
According to a circular signed by the Governor himself, the State Executive Council Meeting held yesterday the 13th of July 2023 received a report from the Head of Service of the state on areas the state needed to employ state indigenes into various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the State Civil Service.
The circular also states that EXCO has approved the employment of 1,454 citizens into the state civil service and the decision by the EXCO to increase the salaries of State Civil Servants by Ten Thousand Naira (10, 000.00) each.
Talk about how best for a Governor of state to handles issues of employment and salaries of those employed by the state government, exactly what you get when you chose mediocre over quality individuals in the state.
