The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has recorded another loss in the Senate following the defection of the lawmaker representing Kaduna South, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The senator announced his defection on Wednesday in a letter that was read on the Senate floor by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
In the letter, Katung explained that the PDP had become “fractured” and was no longer capable of meeting the expectations and aspirations of voters in his constituency.
He also stated that changing political circumstances in the country convinced him that the APC now represents the best platform to guarantee a more secure future for himself and the people he serves.
