Fire Destroys Part Of Emir of Jama’a’s Palace In Kaduna.

A fire broke out on Friday at the palace of the Emir of Jama’a in Kafanchan, the seat of Jema’a Local Government Area in Kaduna State, destroying parts of the building.

The blaze affected the section of the palace where the Emir’s mother resides.

Reports indicate the fire began as the family prepared for the early evening Magrib prayers, creating panic among palace residents and people living nearby.

By Friday night, smoke and charred remains were still visible, with sections of the palace badly damaged and household items reduced to ashes.

Local residents and well-wishers gathered at the palace to offer support to the Emir and his family.

Eyewitnesses said the Kaduna State Fire Service in Kafanchan responded but struggled to control the fire because their pumping machine failed at the start.

The delay allowed the flames to spread to four flats before additional assistance arrived.

Volunteers from the community joined in efforts to save property and prevent further damage.

No injuries were reported, but the fire caused extensive destruction. The cause of the blaze is still unknown, and authorities have not yet released details on the total losses.

People in Kafanchan described the fire as a tragic event and urged for stronger emergency response systems to prevent future disasters.
