Students who benefit from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund in Anambra State have shown support for President Bola Tinubu and also contributed ₦10.7 million toward his 2027 expression of interest form.
The event took place on Friday at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, where the students gathered to present their donation and express their position. They said the loan programme has helped many students stay in school by reducing financial pressure on them.
The chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council in Anambra, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, explained that the group of beneficiaries decided to support Tinubu for another term because of the impact they believe his education policies and student loan scheme have made on their lives.
He also said the total sum of ₦10,735,500 was given as a show of appreciation for the initiative, which many students say has made it easier for them to continue their studies without dropping out due to lack of funds.
