Money Rituals, Witchcraft Aren’t Real - Actor Sunny Alli.

Veteran Yoruba actor, filmmaker and producer Sunny Alli has dismissed the popular belief that money rituals are real, saying there is no convincing proof to support such claims.

He also criticised the way Nollywood often presents stories about witchcraft and rituals, describing many of them as far from reality.

Speaking during Wednesday's edition of Oyinmomo, which was shared on YouTube, Alli said he intentionally stays away from adding witchcraft-related scenes to his movies because he prefers stories that are based on events people can relate to.

The actor explained that many films present witches as though filmmakers have direct knowledge of how they operate, even though there is no evidence to back up those portrayals.

He questioned how people arrived at details such as alleged secret meetings and the clothing they supposedly wear, saying no one has been able to prove such claims.

Alli said he would rather create stories based on real-life experiences, such as accidents or other everyday events, because audiences can easily connect with them.

According to him, scripts should reflect situations that are believable instead of relying on ideas that cannot be confirmed.

Speaking on the long-standing belief in money rituals, the veteran actor said the claims do not make sense when examined closely.

He questioned where the money allegedly comes from and wondered how any supernatural being could produce cash without a clear source.

He added that when he asked people to explain how money rituals supposedly work, they were unable to give clear answers.

He said many later changed the story by claiming the money comes through unexpected contracts or business deals instead.

Alli maintained that he enjoys writing and acting in realistic productions and does not believe in stories about money rituals or the supernatural explanations often presented in films.
