The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has released the results of the written examination for candidates seeking appointment as Permanent Secretaries.

Out of 25 participants, 14 candidates have successfully passed the first stage and will advance to the next phase.

The following stage is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency test, set to take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

This assessment will measure the candidates’ digital skills, which are essential for effective leadership and management in a technology-driven public service environment.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, stated that the examination process is conducted fairly and competitively.

She noted that the exercise reflects the Federal Government’s ongoing reforms to strengthen the public service by promoting professionalism, accountability, and readiness for the future.

Esther emphasized that the selection process is merit-based and designed to identify candidates with proven competence, integrity, and strategic vision to lead the Federal Civil Service.

Citizens were assured that fairness and transparency will continue to guide all stages of the exercise in line with the government’s commitment to public service renewal.
