Enyimba Gets New Head Coach As Abia Launches Club Reforms.

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has approved a major restructuring of Enyimba International Football Club to bring stability, professionalism, and stronger performance to the team.

The announcement came during a high-level meeting at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba with the club’s management.

At the meeting, represented by Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, the Governor confirmed the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Dutch as the club’s new Head Coach and Mr. Daniel Eke as Sporting Director.

The meeting also included the removal of the club’s accountant as part of ongoing administrative reforms.

Governor Otti assured that all outstanding arrears, including salaries, allowances, match bonuses, and other welfare commitments, would be settled promptly.

He noted that the wellbeing of players and staff remains central to the club’s success and future achievements.

Deputy Governor Emetu urged players to cooperate with the new management and coaching team, stressing that the government is committed to restoring Enyimba to its leading position in Nigerian, continental, and global football.

Players raised concerns over unpaid salaries and match bonuses, limited support for injured players, and other operational challenges.

They called for swift government action to help the club regain stability and improve competitiveness.

New Head Coach Emmanuel Dutch expressed gratitude for the opportunity and promised to instill discipline, professionalism, and strategic guidance in the team.

He pledged to work closely with the Sporting Director and players to restore Enyimba’s winning culture and meet the expectations of the government and fans.

The meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Sports, Sir Nwaobilor Ananaba, alongside club management, staff, and players.
