Four Gospel Musicians Found Dead In Lagos Studio.

Four gospel musicians, including Matthew Ogundele, were found dead inside a music studio in the Abraham Adesanya area of Ajah, Lagos State.

The others who died with him are Itunu Ogundele, Joseph Sanya, and a blogger known as JoesTv, whose real name is Matthew Awosanya.

The group had been invited to perform on the second day of a three-day birthday praise event organised by gospel artist Olanireti Akinbola.

They performed late into the night and reportedly stayed over at the studio because of the late hour and the distance to their homes.

The following morning, their bodies were discovered inside the studio.

The incident was reported to the Ajiwe Police Station in Ajah.

Lagos State Police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi confirmed that the studio owner, Akintayo Akinbola, alerted the police after finding the studio door locked from the inside.

Upon forcing the door open, the four artistes were discovered lifeless.

Police said detectives visited the scene and recorded their findings.

No clear signs of external injuries were observed on the bodies. The corpses were taken to Mainland Hospital, Yaba, where they were confirmed dead by a medical doctor before being deposited at the mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

The case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba, where a full investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death.

Meanwhile, friends, colleagues, and members of the public have taken to social media to demand answers, with images circulating online showing traces of blood on the victims, raising questions about what led to their sudden deaths.
