NIMET Reveals States To Experience Rain, Thunderstorm.

 

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has released its weather forecast for Monday through Wednesday, predicting varied conditions across the country.

Northern states are expected to have mostly sunny and cloudy skies during this period. 

On Tuesday, the region will experience sunny and hazy weather, with dust haze likely to appear in the afternoon and evening on Wednesday. 

The central region will also have sunny and hazy conditions throughout the week.

In the southern states, NiMet forecasts sunny skies with some clouds. Certain areas, including Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ogun, Lagos, Ondo, Imo, Delta, and parts of Anambra, are likely to experience isolated thunderstorms and light rain at different times. 

Morning hours may see storms in Ogun, Lagos, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River, while thunderstorms are expected later in the day in Ondo, Ogun, Imo, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, and Bayelsa.

Residents in the North-Central region should be cautious as dust particles remain suspended in the air. 

NiMet advised people with respiratory problems, including asthma, to take precautions. 

Motorists were reminded to drive carefully during rain, and airline operators were urged to consult airport-specific weather reports for safe flight operations.

NiMet encouraged everyone to stay updated with current weather reports to ensure safety throughout the week.
