President Bola Tinubu is set to travel to Kebbi State on Saturday for a one-day official visit where he will commission projects carried out by the state government.
The visit will see the President inaugurate several developments completed under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris.
The projects are part of efforts by the Kebbi State Government to improve infrastructure and public services across the state.
During his stay, Tinubu will also attend the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival as the special guest of honour.
The annual event attracts visitors from different parts of Nigeria and beyond, as it showcases the rich culture and traditions of the people.
The Argungu festival is widely known across Africa and has grown over the years into a major cultural gathering. It features fishing competitions, traditional music, dance, and other cultural displays.
The event is held along the riverside at Matan Fada, a historic site in Kebbi State. The location has been recognised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Tinubu’s visit is expected to draw political leaders, traditional rulers, and tourists to the state for both the commissioning ceremony and the cultural celebration.
