Wike Is My Oga - Fubara.

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has openly described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as his boss while speaking on an ongoing project in the state.

The governor made the remark on Tuesday during an inspection of projects being carried out in Rivers State.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far and said the contractors had assured the state government that the project would be completed by October this year.

Fubara explained that from his assessment, the major thing needed to meet the deadline is adequate funding, while his own role is to continue pushing and supporting the process.

He said he believes the promise made to the people of Rivers State will be fulfilled by October, with God’s help.

Speaking further, the governor described the project as very important to him because it was originally conceived by Wike.

He said the former governor had a broad vision for the project and believed that completing it within a short time would earn public approval for the current administration.

Fubara added that regardless of the issues surrounding their relationship, he remains committed to ensuring that the project is successfully delivered, as it is also his personal desire to see that vision become a reality.

Meanwhile, Wike has earlier confirmed that the disagreement between him and the Rivers State governor had been resolved.

He credited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for playing a key role in settling the dispute between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state.

According to the minister, the president acted as a father figure whose intervention helped restore peace and understanding.

He said the main priority is for Rivers State to continue moving forward and expressed appreciation to the president for his continuous effort in ensuring unity and progress in the state.
